But On the Surface, He Looks Calm and Ready

You remember that song “Lose Yourself” by Eminem? You know in the beginning where he’s all nervous and throwing up and shit? Yeah, that’s how I feel right now. My band has a gig tonight and I feel like I want to just crawl back into the womb and not have to deal with it.

I know we’re ready and all -we know the songs better than we know our own names- but there’s always something to be said for a live performance. Anything could go wrong. Can’t I just let someone else sing? I’ve been feeling like I’m gonna vomit all day. Eeeeeew Nerves.

Ugh, won’t you all say, “break a leg, Buster”? I think I’d feel better. Or maybe I’d throw up on you. Who knows.
